Ten amazing pistes.

Isaberg offers hills and pistes for any proficiency; may it be the green pistes for beginner with a low difficulty, may it be the black pistes for skiing experts. There is even an own area for children with easier pistes and platter lifts. Also a service building as well as a warming cottage is located in direct proximity. All together, there are 6 kilometers of prepared downhill pistes with a hight of 150 meters, the highest in South Sweden.

Thanks to the top modern fully automated and efficient snow cannon system and the lighting of all the slopes, there is a long ski season from the mid of December until the end of March!

Two chairlifts and eight regular lift bring you quickly to the top of the pistes. In the chairlift, your legs can enjoy a little break before gliding down the hill with full commitment.
Warming huts and restaurant. Within the ski area there are several warming cottages as well as barbecue places for small breaks. Centrally in the area you will find the Isaberg hut with a simple restaurant and coffee shop as well as a ski equipment shop offering a whole range of the needed equipment.

Branäs – Winter holidays in Sweden’s most family friendly skiing area!

In Branäs you don’t have to choose between ski fun for beginners and advanced drivers and child friendliness. Here, you can have both!
On one hand the advanced skier will find downhill tracks with a length of 3 kilometers and a height difference of more than 400 meters, on the other hand, there are also a lot of skiing offers for our little visitors which are already included in the lift pass fee.
Just recently, Branäs has been crowned again the most attractive and appealing skiing area for families, what makes it the perfect destination for the whole family interested in winter sports.
Branäs does though not only offer 15 lifts but also a lot of possibilities for cross country skiing. Although there are no lighted cross country ski tracks yet, every year 27 kilometers of tracks are well prepared.

Winter holiday in Sälen – Northern Europe’s biggest winter sports area

The mountains around the winter sports town Sälen belong to the western part of the Dalarna region in Middle Sweden. This winter sports area is the biggest of its kind in Northern Europe.

Sälen is devided into different alpine skiing sites such as Lindvallen, Högfjället, Tandådalen and Hundfjället.

All these skiing sites are perfectly suitable for families, since there is a large amount of marked childrens‘ and adventure areas, amusing parks and the whole range of pistes, for the beginner as well as for the advanced skier. This region had already been settled in the 8th century.

On all ski sites in Sälen combined, you will find the amazing number of 116 downhill pistes, 83 lifts and 13 ski belts. Sälen is also an Eldorado for cross contry skiing. 5 kilometers of tracks are lighted and each year, 47 kilometers of tracks are prepared as cross country ski tracks.

Winter sports in Idre – Holiday homes for cross country skiing or close to the pistes at the mountain Idre Fjäll

In the late 1960s, the Idre skiing area was established by some of the inhabitants of Idre, a small mountain village, and it has been a success ever since. Those who want to combine a stunning nature with an exciting winter sports holiday have found their perfect destination in Idre.

The once visionary idea is now one of the best alpine ski areas of Sweden. 40 downhill pistes and 26 lifts around the giant summit of Idre Fjäll alone offer anything for your ski holidays. Fill your lungs with fresh mountain air and enjoy the beautiful panorama, before you speed down the hill. Dalarnas longest and steepest piste can be found here, as well as numerous alternatives suitable to your age and skills.

Although there are so many different downhill slopes, you can’t get lost in Idre because of a very well-arranged layout of the slopes. Just test your skiing skills on the slopes all around the mountain!

But also cross country skiing can be done in Idre to a great extent on 60 kilometers of prepared tracks, 30 kilometers of them are lighted.

Winter holidays in Åre - International Flair and pure wilderness at one and the same mountain!

Deep in the mountains of the Northern Swedish region Jämtland, about 90 kilometers away from the next airport in Östersund, one can find the picturesquely located winter sports town Åre at the foot of the mountain with the same name. The mountain with an elevation of far over 1000 meters is the epitome of excellent slopes and international world cup flair. The special atmosphere of Åre is though also built by the contribution of the sleepy and cozy little mountain villages of the region and the magnificent conditions for winter sports, which makes Åre so popular and world-wide known.

The Åre ski area consists of several resorts which offer any slope the winter guests could wish for, from „easy peasy“ to „outrageously challenging“, everything is available. Not only are there big resorts such as Åre by, Duved and Åre Björnen, also are there smaller resorts like those at the mountain Tegelfjäll. Only a few kilometers away from Åre, located on the opposite shore of Lake Åre, you can find other ski resorts such as the family-friendly Trillevallen or Edsåsdalen. Short before the Norwegian border there is the ski area of Storlien, where even the king has a holiday cottage.

In total there are 108 different slopes and 42 lifts and 93 kilometer of prepared cross country ski tracks, 21 kilometers of them lighted. As you can see, you don’t need to be a downhill specialist to have fun in your winter holidays. If the slopes and tracks should not be enough, there is still the mountain and its nature to discover. Åre offers a great infrastructure for other winter activities as well. May it be ice-fishing, riding ice-cart or having a snow scooter tour: Everything is possible in Åre!
